Global Ventures and Business Development Director | Dow Chemical
Erin O’Driscoll retired in 2018 as Global Ventures and Business Development Director for Dow Chemical. In this position, Erin managed a portfolio of internal and external growth projects supporting corporate strategy and enable transformation. Erin’s career spanned a wide variety of technologies, always with a focus on new business development, both in R&D and commercial roles. From 2010 to 2014, she was R&D Director at Dow Kokam, an independently operated lithium-ion battery start-up. This followed R&D Director roles in Dow Wolff Cellulosics and Dow BioSciences. She was New Business Development Manager in Dow Polyurethanes during the development and launch of RENUVA™ natural oil-based polyols. She spent her early career in R&D at DowBrands, a producer of household and personal care products, where she developed and commercialized a number products. Her broad experience includes early stage product inception through commercialization in a wide variety of technologies including renewable feedstocks, cellulosic derivatives, lithium ion batteries and markets including consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and energy storage. Erin received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University of Colorado-Boulder and her B.S. in Chemistry from Boston College.
