Jackie Bernhelm is a Founder in Residence at Area 120, Google’s “experimental incubator for new ideas.” She is the founder of Stride, a Q&A site for small businesses. In a former life, Jackie was a Vice President at Dragoneer. Some investments from her time there include Airbnb, Square and Deep Mind. Jackie led product at Location Labs, a geocation pioneer that was acquired by Avast. Jackie holds several patents on GPS and location technologies. She also led product growth at Kiva, the world’s first crowdfunding site and microfinance platform. She holds her BS from Stanford in Science, Technology and Society, and her MBA from Harvard business school. Jackie is passionate about creating pathways into tech and started a program at UC Merced that coaches first generation college students on how to ace their job and internship interviews. She lives in San Francisco with her partner and their havanese puppy.
